Afternoon Care at The English School
The English School offers an afternoon daycare program in English at the school. The afternoon activities start after the pupil’s school day. The club is available for 1st and 2nd graders during all official school days until 4.30 p.m.
Afternoon activities will be provided from August 13rd, 2009 to June 5th, 2010. Afternoon activities are not provided during school holidays or on exceptional school days held on Saturdays.
In the afternoons the children are given an opportunity to do their homework, play together, do arts and crafts, play games, do sports and also play outdoors. The goal is to provide a safe and friendly environment after school hours. The children are served a nutritious snack at around 2 p.m. All the children taking part in activities are covered by the City’s accident insurance.
Next school year - 2009-2010 – we are able to take in 26 children. Two adults supervise the club. The application period for afternoon activities is February 4th through April 30th, 2009. Applications can be returned to the school office.
The decision on an afternoon place will be sent to guardians by July 3rd, 2009.
